Set Up: 30 yard grid split into as many lanes as required. One ball per lane. Extra balls behind the area.
Players: 3 players per lane.
Description: Lots of repetitions to hit the long, driven pass to a teamate under no pressure. Sequence is as follows: 1) Driven pass to a teammate. Ball is NOT stationary when striking. Follow pass. 2) Short-short-long. 3) Combination: wall pass, long driven pass.
Progression:
6v3 or 8v4 possession activity - a group of 3 looks to play a long, driven pass through the middle alley to teammates waiting on the other end. Loss of possession results in the offending team going into the middle.
Key Factors:
Where on the foot and ball to strike for a driven pass?

Set Up: Quarter field at Pine Glen
Players: 6v6 plus a goalkeeper. Two subs rotate for each team.
Description: Teams play 7v7 (including goalkeeper). Regular game rules apply. Only condition is that the attacking team must have players in all five zones (1-5) in order to go to goal. Defending team can position itself as needed (ideally in 2-3 zones nearest to the ball).

3v3+2 Switching the Play (15 mins)
Set Up: 20*20 grid. Extra balls behind the area.
Players: 10 players. 3v3 in the grid with a target player on both sides of the team's axis.
Description: Red play East vs. West. Blue north vs. south. Objective is to play from one target player to the other target player. If the opposing team wins the ball, they then look to play between their own target players. Restarts begin with a target player for the team that did not touch it last. Rotate players every 2 minutes.
Questions: What are we thinking about if we are the second attacker? Can we identify our options before we receive the ball? How does our body orientation help?
