For a 1-4-2-3-1

-Play starts with a CB passing to the other CB who then plays a pass to the LB who has posditioned themselves on the touchline.
-In the case that the LB cannot pass to the LM, the #10 drops into Zone 1 to receive the pass.
-The near sided CDM drops back to create depth and the LM pushes out wide to create width
-Once they have completed that pattern, the team can attack in whatever way they want.
-Once the LB receives the ball, the #1-, CDM and LM should make these movements.
-The CDM dropping creates a passing option for the #10 but also support in the case of the LB losing the ball.
-Repeat this pattern but on the right side.

- In this instance, the FB cannot play it forward to the #10 or the RM
-CB--->RB----->RCM---->LCM
-RCM drops back like in Pattern 1 and this time the LCM pushes up into far sided Zone 1 for the switch.
-Attack in whatever way.

-When the FB received the ball, either the nesr sided wide midfielder checks to the line, then into the box to receive the ball or the #10 moves into the box to receive the ball.

-This is for when the FB annot pass the ball forward to the near sided wide midfielder.
-RB passes it back to the RCM, who passes it to the LCM who has made a run into Zone 1. The LCM then passes it into the LM who has made a run into Zone 2.
-The FB can also use the #10 to link up play
-When the LM/RM receive the ball the Fullbacks should push up and support/overlap.
-Opposition players can start being added in gradually with two CM being added next.

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
-Can the #10 move into Zone 3 to receive the ball, in doing this they are dragiing the CB away from the centre of the goal.
-If the CB does not follow them the #10 can then turn and take on the defender or if they are followed, pop it back out wide to the Wide midfielder or the overlapping FB. Or alternatively pass it back to a CM who can switch it
-If the ball is played into Zone 4, make sure passes are at an angle. If they are straight they will be easily gathered by the defence or the Goalkeeper.
-If a poor pass is played make sure units push up to win it back.
-PROG - Now add in two CFs and a GK. Play is live once that square pass is played.
