4v2 + 2 Possession Game
4 attacking players vs 2 defending players with 2 bounces on the side of the pitch (bounces can not be tackled but are limited to 2 touch).
There can only be 1 attacking player in any zone at one time. Defenders have freedom to move into zones as they like.
For the attacking players, they must move to a different zone after they complete a pass. The attackers can move zones without having to make a pass. Attackers can dribble into other zones.
CP:
- Face forward in possession - look to take the ball in motion, and keep the ball moving.
- Create space to receive - one movement for the defender, one to receive the ball
- Emphasize fast ball movement
- Two-player principles (blocks, screens, wall passes)
- Players can combine using blocks, screens, wall passes.
- If the 2nd defender jumps, players need to penetrate space behind
- Receiving player needs to understand what type of pressure is coming (receive safe side strong side, take ball in motion across the defender)
Is there light pressure on the ball?
- Players can combine by creating passing lines between defenders, sole passes, overlapping runs, or beating the player in 1v1 moments
- Sole passes can be completed after a screen or block if the 2nd player is creating the pass line and communicates, 1st player should look to run into space behind COP COD
- Overlapping runs take advantage of space left by defenders, 1v1 towards middle or a 2v1 in the rail
- 2nd player to create space for the ball carrier
- Move away from the ball and create supporting passing lines and stretch the pitch (create space for team mate)
- Can run behind the defense to penetrate (parallel passes, diagonal passes COP COD), or to drag defenders away and create space for the ball carrier

Game: 2v2
Objective: Attacking team works the ball over the half way line to score. If the defenders win possession they try to score within 4 seconds. All play restarts from the GK.
Aim: Attacking team are developing paired movements in the creation zone to progress into the finish zone.
PLAY CAN BE STARTED WITH THE PIVOT PLAYING THE FLANK AND CREATING A PAIRED MOVEMENT BEFORE DEFENDERS CAN PRESS.
CP: Players should have awareness and ability to either face forward with their first touch, take ball in motion to crab the rail, or take ball in motion to drive towards space
Is there high pressure on the ball?
- Players can combine using blocks, screens, wall passes.
- If the 2nd defender jumps, players need to penetrate space behind
- Receiving player needs to understand what type of pressure is coming (receive safe side strong side, take ball in motion across the defender)

Game: 2v2 + 1
Objective: Attacking team look to score after making 5 passes successfully. If the defending team wins the ball (through tackle, interception, not from ball going OOP) they can transition and finish with 5 seconds, otherwise they must make 5 passes before scoring.
Neutral player is initially restricted to 3 touches.
First time finishes are worth double.
P1: Players can score if they beat their opponent in a 1v1 in the wide channel without making 5 passes.
P2: Once in the finish zone, attacking team has 4 seconds to finish. If they can't must either bring the ball back to the creation zone or turnover.
CP:
Should recognise CP from previous 2 practices taking place - try to encourage and reinforce without stopping the play.
Encourage wide players to identify potential 1v1 - cover and support from the pivot
Drip feed 3rd player movements towards the 2nd half of the game - not a freeze and coach moment
Look for defensive principles and reinforce as needed. Stop the line pass, stop forward progression, get pressure on the ball, right body shape, don't cross hips or feet, support 1st defender.
