Session Objective:
Teaching beginners the key principals of passing and receiving. Weight of pass, first touch and uninterrupted straight pass.

Organisation:
- Each player has one ball to pass with and one ball to put on a cone
- Players will be lined up on touch line with ball (appropriate) distance - Based off their own skill level and confidence
Activity:
Soccer Bowling
- Place ball on cone and knock over with a crisp, properly weighted PASS - Assure they are not shooting
- Can move further away from target if they are succeeding and consistent
- Fix ball and reset once they have knocked over ball
Coaching Points:
- Will use lil Oscar ball as target point
- Focus on weight of pass
- Balls should be not flying all over
- Also focus on inside of the foot contact with ball and placement of foot without the ball
- beside the ball to point where you want to pass

Organisation:
- Get a partner, one ball between two
- One partner on the line the other stands across on the cone
- Using entire sideline - spread players out
Activity:
- Getting use to passing back and forth with inside of foot
- If players are doing well with 2 touch passes, move them further apart creating a longer pass
Coaching Points:
- Receiving on the back foot
- Can start the incorporate laces for longer passes
- Changing the habit of using toes

Organisation:
- 4 teams
Activity:
- Two small-sided games for last 15 minutes or so
Coaching Points:
- Focus on quick decision making (Dribble or pass)
- Try to incorporate proper passing technique and passed teachings (dribble with laces)

- Call out scissors, toe taps, bells
Coaching Points:
Encourage creativity
- Get them to do pull backs, scissors or toe taps one their own as they see fit without coaches always having to call out
- Keeping heads up and ball close when crowding occurs
- Take bigger touches into space
