Forwards - Movement off the ball runs
Set-up: have two mannequins that act as defenders set up 35 yards from goal
Progression:
1. Person on the ball dribbles at mannequin in front of them. Opposite forward checks to then peels off and makes bending run in behind mannequin to get ball from dribbler.
2. Person dribbling has option to play to forwards feet who checks to at first and go for wall pass around mannequin he's dribbling at or forward who lays it off can make same bending run as #1.

1v1 Defending with Technical Warm-up.
Warm-up: partner jockey progression before starting activity above.
Players: Addi, Isabelle, Emma, Abby, Kelly, Malena (or Bianca)
1) A passes ball to B. B dribbles and attempts to score in small goal. A closes down quickly and forces wide. After play is over, A has to perform dyanmic side shuffles through the long poles.
Rotate after finishing sides.
2) Same as #1. But now A adds a block to the side shuffle
3) Same as #1 but now A goes through backwards through the long poles.
* Have other grid exactly the same but mirroring so players work on defending different angles.
Coaching points: Close down quickly, low stance and and round your run. What happens if you run straight at attacker? (goal is wide open)
*Teach what goal side means!
Defenders need to be tenacious

1v1 Defending to Goal.
-First defender starts at the top corner of 6 yard box and passes ball into attacker on the corner of 18 yard box. 1v1 to goal
- Play 2-3 minutes and switch roles.
Coaching Points: Where should defender's be forcing? Defenders should work on curving their runs and forcing them wide.
***Please have TWO goals going. No standing around.

2v2 Flying Changes: 30x20
Organization: 2 teams of equal players. 2v2 to goal. Once attacking team shoots and ball goes in the goal or out of bounds, two new players on that side come out with a ball and attackers become defenders. 2 new players dribble into the game. Play to 10.
Progression to 2v1 to 3v2 game.
Coaching Points- Speed of Play. Facilitate them to make decisions as to when to go and how quickly to go. At first will need to remind them but eventually you want them to be dribbling in without you telling them. Dribble into grid with pace and purpose.

2v1 to 3v2 Flying Changes
Rules: 2 attackers on blue start with ball vs 1 black attacker. Once blue shoots on goal and ball goes in the goal or out of bounds, 2 black attackers join one black defender to make it 3v2. Once ball goes out of bounds, 2 new blue players vs 1 new black player. Switch roles after 4-5 minutes.

Shuttle Cones:
Players have to sprint to first cone and back second and back and so on. Cones are 5 yards apart. Players have 40 seconds to complete task. They get 30 seconds of rest. If they don't complete it, they have another run to complete afterwards. Total of 8-10 runs.
