We Play 4-4-2 using two wide players and 2 strikers :use of our Defending strategy against opposition who play 3-5-2

Play starts from T=target player/R =Recycler (who then becomes an attacking Target player for Blues when they are in possesion)

F= Full backs start in to out they defend Target player when out of possession

Reds must look to score quickly

Work with the LW and RW to tuck in without the ball

Work with both wide players and full backs to stay compact and not alllow opposition to play through the middle or defence.

Crossing and Finishing (15 mins)

Midfielder Plays out wide for winger who plays in overlapping full back to cross the ball

Strikers A and B nearest to ball ends up back post and vice versa

Second Midfielder edge of the box

Progression 4 Defenders (10 mins)

Blue team pass the ball wide with through ball and then cross into the box. The CM runs to the edge of the box after passing, the striker runs front post as the opposite winger runs back post.

3 white defenders marks the blue strikers and the other closes down the winger. The CM white players also turn and run back to help defend.

If the white team win the ball, they must play their way out to the white striker where he can score in the small goal. The mannequin is just to slow him down. Ensure blue team attempt to come back to win the ball.
