Crossing and finishing drill that covers the basics, following up to a more complex competitive scenario and a SSG to emphasise crossing

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Pitch
Same as previous drill
Outline
Split each bibbed team into each half with one player swapped from each team to act as a defender. Defender in each goal area (no keeper). Ball starts at the centre where a player passes a square pass and gets it back from the winger. The passer feeds a ball into the winger down the channel for them to run onto it. Winger dribbles to the edge of the 18 yard box and to crosses into the box where one striker should have moved into position to head/volley the ball into the goal. The second striker should run to the byeline and pull the ball back for the striker to strike the ball on the volley. Defender added to the mix and their aim is to intercept/tackle the strikers before they can get a shot on goal off
After exercise, strikers from the pool rotate and play is alternated to the other side. After a period all players including defender to rotate.
Key Factors
Ability to cross the ball
Strikers ability to execute the skill
Defenders ability to judge the flight of the ball
