One team defends, the other attacks. In the diagram opposite, Team YELLOW is defending, and Team RED is attacking.
• The playing area is split into three zones
• Team RED aims to score in the main goal, while Team YELLOW scores by winning possession and either dribbling over the central zone end line (where Team RED goalkeeper is standing) or by scoring the ball into one of the two mini-goals.
• The Team RED goalkeeper starts with the ball and can be used in possession by Team RED, goalkeeper is restricted to the middle zone and can only work horizontally across the boundary line.
• Team YELLOW must defend in two zones.
• Team RED can attack as they wish but should aim to occupy all three zones when switching play.

• Inside the grid, two teams of four try to retain possession against each other – Team GREEN vs Team BLACK in the diagram. The aim for both teams is to switch play from one Player RED on the outside to the Player RED on the opposite side of the grid.
• When in possession, Team GREEN works horizontally and Team BLACK works vertically.
• After a set period of time, Team RED swaps positions with Team GREEN. Next time, Team BLACK swap with Team RED
• Goalkeepers, use them on the outside throughout so they can work on their distribution.
