Technical
In this exercise GK's will be moving across the goal and be divingto save the ball. Working on handling, set positon, the dive andhandling technique. Low to Mid Dives
Key Learning Points:
Practice: The GK will start opposite server 1 who will receive a strikefrom the floor around their body. Once they have caught this ball theywill throw it back and deal with a pre-scripted low dive in line with server 2.The goalkeeper will reset in front of server 1 and this will happen 4 timeseach before rotating round GK's. Once every GK has completed practice they will switch sides so the GK can practice diving onboth sides. As this is pre-scripted delivery it is a good place to start toensure the technical detail is correct before moving on to moreinvolved practices.

Goalie Wars
This small sided game will be high intensity for both GK's.
The GK's will play 4 games of 90 seconds blocks, looking to strike the ball past the opposition GK with a maximum of 2 touches. If thegoal has scored in the bottom half of the goal, it will be worth 2 points toencourage GK's to keep the ball low and get the low divingsaves that we have been worked on in this session. The coach can step in and pause the time whererelevant to give any technical detail to the GK's where necessary. The thirdgoalkeeper will be hovering around the middle of the practice causingobstructions and open to score any rebounds this will ensure the GK's secure the ball where they can or deflect the ball into a safe area.
