Blocked (10 mins)

Blocked. 10 minutes.

12 Players put into 2 teams.

3 players per triangle that is set up. (Triangle size, 15 yards from each cone of 1 triangle).

Players must dribble a ball around the outside of the triangle, but the players cannot all go in the same direction. This make the players look where they are dribbing so they do not bump into the player running in the different direction to them.

Important to change directin frequently to avoid dizzyness.

-When dribbling it is important that the players use both the inside and outside of both feet.

- Also looking up to see where the other players are and to see when they reach the cone to change direction.

Progressions

- Possibly create a competitiveness by see which group of 3 can dribble all the way around their triangle the fastest whilst maintaining control of the ball.

- Allow players to bigger touches of the ball which will allow players to move faster.

- Take 1 ball out so only 2 players have balls and the player without must chase down the players that have a ball.

Equipment

- 12 cones

- 12 balls

- 12 bibs (2 colours)

Variable (10 mins)

Variable. 10 Minutes.

1 player from each team stands in the centre zone. These players are essentially playing as defenders.

The other players each have a ball each.

- The players with a ball must dribble though the centre zone whilst trying to avoid running/dribbling into the other players dribbling but also avoid the defending players.

- The defending players cannot tackle at the start, they must only apply pressure to the player dribbling to force them into changing direction or to perfom a skill and beat them.

- Player can dribble into the zone but they are confronted with a defending player they are allowed to turn and dribble at pass back out of the zone.(players do not have to pass through the zone every time).

- Switching the defending players every 2 minutes.

Progression;

- The defending players can tackle the players that are dribbling through.

Random/ Game (20 mins)

20 Minutes. SSG/ Game.

Leaving two triangle in place from the earlier drills, splitting the balls equally and place them into the triangles.

- Players from each time must try to get as many balls as possible and dribble them into the goal to score a point for their team.

- if a player is successfull in getting a ball and scoring a point they must return to their zone before they can go to try and get another ball.

How to score:

- to score 1 point, players must steal a ball and dribble it into the goal.

- to score 5 points, players must steal a ball and dribble it all the way back to their zone. (The ball cannot be passed back, it must be dribbled all the way).

- Players from the opposing team can tackle you if you stolen a ball from their zone.

Once all the balls are in the goals, simply divide the balls equally in each zone/triangle and play the game again.

The teams that wins the most games are the overall winners.
