Introduction
Withinthis assignment, I will be looking to plan a session for around 8-12participants based upon purposeful possession, using a traditional format forthe session. I will also look to demonstrateknowledge and understanding of the coaching toolbox and behaviour and effectiveteaching strategies when dealing with players aged 5-11 years
Health and Safety
Oneof the first considerations I must consider when planning this session is thehealth and safety of all the players. There are many different things that Iwill need to think about for the sessions, such as players who may haveearrings or jewellery, and ensuring that there is nothing on or around the pitchthat could cause any harm to the players, coaches, or anyone else involved

Physical Works on agility, balance and listening skills |

Psychological Players have to listen closely to commands given to the coach |
|
Social This activity works as an icebreaker for the players, as they can move around, depending on how the session is going up until that point |

Technical Players need to find space, and use accurate passes |
|
Tactical Works on the possession side of the game for the teams involved |
|
Physical Players will need to be constantly moving around to find space |
|
Psychological Players need to remember to try and keep possession of the ball |
|
Social Players will be interacting with each other in the session, and need to communicate with each other. |
Description
This part of the session revolves around a 4v4 situation in the marked area/box. The teams are aiming to keep possession of the ball, and can score points by completing 5 passes, and then a sixth pass to a player outside of the box. All players outside of the box are neutral, and therefore are all options to pass the ball to for either team.
Challenges
Try to complete 5 passes before going outside of the box. This will progress up as the session goes along, up to 10, 15 and 20 if the session is progressing well.
Interventions
If the players are struggling to keep possession for too long, I may look to let the players inside of the box pass to players outside whenever they need to, but they will not earn points for this. I could also look to deduct a point each time this is done as a way to try and get players to avoid overusing this. I could also look to make the area bigger as well, if the players seem to be struggling to find space.
If the players are not moving around enough, and are not actively looking for space, then I would need to give fly-by reminders to some players to ensure that they remember that they need to get into space to help their players. If passes are being miss placed, then I would need to ensure that players are using the correct technique and power in their passes to ensure that they are being completed.
I will try to use fly by's and drive by's to try and keep the session flowing as well as possible, and only really step in with a demonstration if I see it to be necessary
Equipment
I would need to mark out an area using cones for the box. I would also need to divide the 12 players into 2 teams , so would need 12 bibs of two different colors.

Physical Players will need to be constantly moving around to find space. By having two games on next to each other, the players are more involved in the session, and will get more touches on the ball. |

Psychological Players need to remember to try and keep possession of the ball |
|
Social Players will be interacting with each other in the session, and need to communicate with each other. |
Description and Challenges
This part of the session builds upon the previous part, almost acting as a progression, The teams are aiming to keep possession of the ball, and play through the thirds of the pitch to score in the minigoal. All players must touch the ball before they can score. However, if a player wins the ball pressing the defending player, they can continue and score. By changing the session this way, the players get more involved and can have more touches on the ball. This helps the physical corner surrounding this.

If the players are struggling to keep possession for too long, I could look to make the area bigger as well, if the players seem to be struggling to find space.

WARM-UP
Description
Warm up game, 'Head, Shoulder, Knee, Toes, Ball'. 2 players play across from each other. Coach will shout out an action, and the players must do that action. If the coach shouts 'Ball', then the players must attempt to pull the ball with their hand onto their side to win a point. Helps the players to warm up their reactions, reflexes, agility and also builds a social core within the group.
Challenges
When someone wins or loses, they either move up the line or down, which helps to match them up against different people throughout the warm up, and help them to get to know each other early
Interventions
Try to get the players to engage with the beginning of the session. Get all of the ready for the intensity of the session, and an intensity that is expected to help the session to flow well
Interventions
I will try to use fly by's and drive by's to try and keep the session flowing as well as possible, and only really step in with a demonstration if I see it to be necessary
