Organization: 20yd W x 30yd L, with every player having a ball at their feet. 1 minute rounds with players keeping track of how many gates they dribble through. Key Words: Dribble, look up, COP, COD, open gate(space)

Guided Questions: 1) How can you dribble through more gates as you compete in more rounds? 2) How can you find open gates vs. gates being dribbled through? 3) What moves can you perform to find open gates once you dribble through one already?

Answers: 1) Dribble through gates with close control (smaller touches) and then COP to find open gates. 2) Look up. 3) COD moves (pullback/ blind pullback, inside/outside turn. Let them show you some ideas they may have as well.

Notes: The rounds should be players competing with themselves to try and better their dribbling ability every round. If a player doesn't beat their previous score, ask why and what they could do differently next round. Then "show me

Answers: 1) Dribble under control to not lose the ball or dribble with COP and try a move to beat the defender and score. 2) Defend the player to try and win the ball. If you can defend the player and be in the way of the goal, even better. 3) Be creative and take a risk!

Notes: Promote the players to be creative and to take risks. This is a great time for them to attempt tricks or moves that they wouldn't do normally in a game. If they mess up, have them try it again even if the same outcome occurs. Build the confidence of the players on the ball as soon as possible.
