Forward and Back (10 mins)

Session Topic: Attacking Principles

Ball control, Passing/recieving, Communication, Conditioning

Stage: Stage 1

Set Up:

5 yard Zone marked out by cones, 20 yards long (Scaled to age and level of play) Balls

Time:

10 mins (work for 1 minute then rest 30-60 seconds)

Organization:

Groups of 2 players in each zone. Player A starts on the endline and player B starts in the middle. Player A plays the ball to player B who controls and plays the ball back. Player B then backpedels and sprints forwards to recieve another ball. Player be then sprints forwards and backpedels to receive another ball. This continues for about 1 minute.

Two Touch

Ball is tossed and volleyed back

Ball is tossed and controled with various parts of the body (Thigh, Chest, Foot)

Ball is tossed and headed back

Coaching Points:

Ball Control (Soft Touch)

Passing/Recieving (Locked ankle, toe pointed up, inside of foot, chest over ball, eye contact with partner before looking back at ball)

Communication (Eye contact, Verbal, Hand Signals) *BE SPECIFIC*

Conditioning (Pace of Play)
