Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): General practice - Switching play

Set up

40x30 area - End zones and Wide zones 5 yards inside area.

12 players - 4 neutral players one in each end/wide zone. 4v4 in the middle.

Explanation 

Players play possession in the middle and can use any of the netural players on the outside.

Targets 

Keep the ball 

Use the target plays as much as possible

Conditions 

Neutral players 3 touches 

Can not go back to the same taget player

Have to use both wide taget players before using the end zone target player 

If successful getting ball from end zone to end zone 1 point, when doing so use 1 wide player 2 points use both wide players 5 points.

Progression 

Remove wide zones play just with end zones 

Key points 

Recive ball to play in opposite direction

Dont force - play short to create space on opposite side
