Pre season - Overall work (1)
- This will last for 2 weeks, intensity will be very high through short bursts of pace and football, similar to the physical & technical sessions but players will be challenged more on the quality of passing & tempo and also game sharpness such as reactions and transitions.
- Players should be at a good physical level where they can now look to fine tune the passing & sharpness elements of football

Serve & pass
Description : Straight after ball mastery, briefly just one team has footballs in hand within the circle and the other team will be passing back their serves.
Players, key points:
1) Commmunicate verbally & non verbally with eachother before serving and recieving
2) Ensure quality of both the serve and the return
3) Accelerate quickly to find a free man
4) Play with chin up at all times to spot the free men

Passing combinations - Endurance element
Description : A passing combination excersise, the pattern itself is ok, the hard part is the sprint after each pass, players are required to play off 1 touch when possible and a fast 2 touch when they cant, tempo is essential in here.
Players, key points:
1) If you cant play off 1, focus on a good first touch that allows you toplay with a second
2) Quality of pass essential, everything to feet
3) Get to your next cone quickly

Passing combinations - 1 touch & quick 2
Description: A challeging passing exercise designed to challenge players technically and mentally, players will get a break from physical endurance and can aim all focus on the quality of their passing
Players, key points:
1) Communication, non verbally & verbally
2) Quality of pass, especially weight, cant be too hard/soft
3) If players (Y or Z) Who bounce the ball, put it in front
4) Sprint into your next area

4 Corner possession game
Description: Players are split into 3 teams, 2 teams play 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5 in the middle depending on numbers and the other team go into the corners. The team in the corner cant be tackled. There are a few progressions to this session, however the key points remain the same
Players, key points:
1) Focus on quality of pass
2) Hit the corner men ifon every time.
3) If not on recyce to your teammates
4) Play quick combos through the middle
5) Constantly cheque and move to create better passing angles

SSG - Combination & passing conditions
Description: A SSG with emphasis on passing, the progressions and rules will be based on passing. Organisation is 2 teams against eachother, Player A is a link man and is with the team in possession of the football, this player also has certain conditions
Players, key points:
1) Quality of passes
2) Switch play to create new attacking chanells
3) Patient in build up
4) Play forward as much as possible
5) Dont be afraid to keep the ball and go back, recycle and go forward

1) Aware of space at all times, chin up
2) Use of both feet at all times
3) Change direction quickly
4) See space- eat into it quickly
5) No space- every step take a touch, dont let the ball roll
