Potential Theme/Length of game: Dribbling, Confidence, Choice, Vision, Voice; 15-30 minutes

Organization/Rules: Marta 1 dribbling inside/outside with the same foot; Marta 2 dribbling with the laces. Marta 3 dribbling with the sole of the foot ("roll") moving sideways; Marta 4 combine inside, laces, outside, roll (Marta 1-3).

Sample Discussion Questions: What did you learn about Marta?How did you feel using your voice while doing the skill? Where in life is our voice important? How did you feel when you were able to choose the skill you want to do? Where in life do we need to make choices?

Possible Progressions/Variations: Players decide which Marta skills they want to do or they can combine two Marta skills. Players can also combine Marta skills with other skills.

Screen 2 (30 mins)

Potential Theme/Length of game: Agility, Work hard to improve, overcome obstacles. 15-30 minutes

Organization/Rules: There are many cones spread around the field. Players jog around and when coach yells "Marta!" players have to run and jump over as many cones as possible. After 30-45 seconds coach shouts "Stop!" and everyone jogs again. The coach can ask how many cones players jumped over. During the next round each player tries to improve their number.

Sample Discussion Questions: How do you feel? How does all of this movement affect your body? How does this movement relate to sport? How did it feel to try to improve? Did you care about how many cones the others were achieving?

Possible Progressions/Variations: Come up with different ways to jump over the cone, i.e. jump sideways, with one foot, or touch as many cones as possiblewith your hands, knees, head and elbow etc. Can you and your players think of other ways to jump over the cone.

Potential Theme/Length of game: Taking advantage of all the community resources. 15-30 minutes

Organization/Rules: Have a big field with two equal teams (i.e. 8 vs 8), but half of each team has to stand outside, next to the sideline. The players who are inside represent the male population, players outside the female population. Players on the inside play a normal game of football.

Sample Discussion Questions: How did it feel to stand outside and watch the other players play? Where in the community are girls included? Why are they not allowed to participate? What can each of us do to include females in the community?

Possible Progressions/Variations: Can choose whether they can pass to their teammates on the outside or not. if they can, outside players can have one or two touches to pass the ball back. Switch players on the outside and inside.

Potential Theme/Length of game: Taking advantage of all community's resources. 15-30 minutes

Sample Discussion Questions: How is it to play a game against a team with twice as many players? How would our community benefit from including everyone?

Possible Progressions/Variations: Now if a player scores, they can yell out something that would help include women in their community (i.e education, employment, personal income) and one of their teammates on the outside can join them in the middle.

Or one team can play with all its players on the inside. The other team still only have 4 players on the insideand their teammates on the outside. So, it is a game of full team vs half team (i.e. 8 vs 4). Switch halfway through the game the other team has a full team on the inside.

Adaptation Notes: Are there any groups in your community that are excluded from certain areas of life (sport,politics,business)? Can you use this game to address this issue?
