Organization: Dimentions of the defending half of the field with positions 2, 3, 6, and 9 in their natural defending shape.
Instructions: The goalkeeper plays a ball out to either the 2, or 3 and the pressure comes immediately after the ball is played in. The blue team must then look to score in the mini goals. If the white team wins the ball they must try to score in the big goal.
Coaching Points: Passing technique, how to use the 2, 3, 6, or 9 to advance out of the defending third while in possession.

Organization: 2/3rds of the field, 6 v 4 to full size goals.
Instructions: Blue restarts all dead balls with a goal kick. When the balls are played in the blue team repeats the same passing patterns, and ideas from the previous exercise with more pressure against them. In this activity the blue team has a new scoring objective as well: Blue must score by shooting/passing into the side net of the goal which is placed at the edge of the middle/attacking thirds of play.
Coaching Points: When to play into space vs when to play to feet in the defensive, and middle thirds.

Passing Pattern (10 mins)
Organization: Passing Pattern, Passes are set up for common 10 yard passes found in the possession build up in the defending 3rd of the field while using the 4-2-3-1 formation.
Instructions: Phase 1 - complete the passing pattern using 2 touches. Phase 2 - Complete the passing pattern using 1 touch passes. Phase 3 - Complete passing pattern using 1 touch & the Give and go combination (focus on using the 3rd runner to complete the move)
Coaching Points: Phase 1 - Passing technique (Heal down / Toe up) & Creativity/Deception in the first touch. Phase 2 - Proper weight of pass within pattern/combination play. Phase 3 - Phases 1 and 2 coaching points and how to use the 3rd person running.
