Introduce players to the idea of one touch passing and moving. This will a-tune each player's focus as they have no time on the ball. This is important to develop their sense of balance, understanding of a weighted pass, Accuracy, control, composure and timing. Because of the nature of one touch passing the technique should also develop their sharpness and decision making in the moment of the game

Key Factors One touch pass and move - Constantly moving
Organisation
Practice is set for 4 players. The area is marked out by outer cones. Spare footballs are located behind position A
The Excercise
1) Four players. Player 1 passes the ball through the cones. This starts the constant moving of all players in a clockwise direction
2) Player 2 moves from position B and paases it back through with one touch
3) Player 4 recieves the ball at position A and passes it through the cones
4) player 1 recieves the ball at position C and passes it though the cones
5) player 3 recieves the ball at position 1 and passes it through the cones
Adaptions to the practice
1) Players can switch direction and go anticlockwise
2) Players can decide which cone to run to after they have kicked the ball. No cone can be left unnattended

Organisation
Cones mark out two triangular areas and then two cones in the centre. Spare balls kept behind player 1
The Excercise
Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 and then moves across to player 2
Player 2 lays the ball off to player 3 and then moves to player 3 position
Player 3 passes the ball through the poles and moves to where player 1 was
Player 4 picks then passess the ball to player 5 and moves to player 5 position
Player 5 lays the ball off to player 6 and moves to player 6 position
Player 6 passes the ball through the poles and moves to player 4 position
Cycle starts again
Adaptations to the practice
1) After passing the ball through the centre player 3 could run through with the ball and join the other side, the same for player 6
2) Switch from right foot to left foot
3) whole team switches sides

Organisation
This is a small sided game that can be anything from 5v5 to 9v9. Play the width of the field.
The Excercise
The focus on the samll sided game is to incourage the players to put into practice the excercises that have previously been discussed.
However, to make the game run more smoothly players will move frrom one touch to a maximum of 3 touches.
The rules to the game are:
1) Ball must be played on the ground.
2) 3 touches Maximum

1) move from 3 touches to two touches

Consolodate entire session given the players the opportunty to hone in on what they learned and enjoyed from today's session as well as discussing what they found difficult or didn't like.
Explore what benefit individual players take from today's session
Open the following week's session with a recap from today to develop continuity
Most importantly though don't prescribe the players benefits or feelings to them - allow them open space to talk and debate about the session.

Organisation
1) in pairs players stand opposite each other with two cones in between them - one on the left and one the right
2) players pass the ball to one another using only one touch. The ball must be played on the ground and passed in between the cones. Players must also pass from behind the cones
Adaptions to practice
1) Alternate feet using both right and left.
2) Put hands behind your back forcing the bady to change shape to maintain balance
