Dribbling Fun Game (15 mins)
Dribbling Fun Game - Lightning Mcqueen
Players dribble around the 4v4 pitch with there heads lifting making sure to avoid other players. Coach starts with three commands :
Red Light: Stop (One foot on top of ball) - Players all shout "Kachow"
Amber Light: Dribble Slow (little touches)
Green Light: Dribble Fast (Big touches into space) - Players must make racing car noises
Progresion
- Add in more colours & let kids choose the command for eg,
Purple - 5 steps overs followed by Kachow etc etc
-Stipulate a foot to use
Coaching Points - Encourage Players to dribble with both feet, players to look for spaces so they can reach there top racing speeds, small close touches for the amber & mostly importantly ball must be under control at all times so the kids can stop at these red lights.

Scissors Skill (20 mins)
Scissors 1v1 with shot at Goal (Left Foot Only)
Both lines to go at exactly the same time and work on same foot.
Players to dribble to mannequin taking small pushing movements with the top of there Right foot , When they are roughly half a metre away from mannequin the players have to execute a Scissors move & then (round with left foot and then push away with right foot, taking big touches to get away from there man and getting a shot on goal using the top of the foot.
Due to the age of the players it is likely that players will have to start by stopping the ball at the required distance and then learn the scissor by coach asking the player to follow his finger with his foot. Please allow equal time for both feet and not just concentrating on right only for eg.
Progressions
1.Players to stop ball and execute scissors without the help of coaches finger.
2.Players to judge distance and execute Scissors without stopping ball.
Coaching Points - Small pushed touches with top of foot, head lifted to see the picture, judge distance to execute skill, big touches to get away from there man, shot from roughly 2mtrs with top of foot following through in the direction you want ball to go.
