Organisation

What: The practice is all about an attacking play, where the two CMs will combine with the withdrawn strike and the lone striker to create scoring opportunities. It will be a good opportunity to work on the midfielder´s run from deep supporting an attack without being tracked. Also, the withdrawn striker dropping in the space in between the two CBs and 2 CMs for the blue team makes it difficult for the CBs. In all, it is a good practice for individuals to work on their movement on and off the ball when supporting the attack.

We are doing this so as to encourage our midfielders to provide overloads during an attacking play, proving support when creating and exploiting space.

The Practice will involve two CMs, a lone striker and a withdrawn striker against GK, two CBs and two CMs with a server.

The practice always begin with the GK, playing a long ball to the server, who in this case could be a CB or CF working their aerial skills. The practice goes live a soon as the server bring the ball down to their feet to play, by feeding the ball to either the tco CMs or the withdrawn striker.

The reds has to combine to create scoring chances by passing, dribbling, movement off the ball playing through and around the blues.

The reds are allowed 5 seconds on the ball max, unless they are under pressure (1v1situation) and only one player is allowed on each grid at any given time. They are also encourage to play forward and be direct, as each ball in play will classified as a scoring opportunity. Can they make it count?

The reds get a point for goals scored by a striker, two points by a withdrawn striker and three points by the CMs. Blues will get a point for scoring on the small goals or two points for playing through to the target.
