Exercise Description:
-server distributes the ball from their hands or holds the ball in a position tha the GK can step and extend to catch the ball.
Coaching Points:
-push off to extend your range
Technical Objectives:
-set your feet
-step forward into the path of the ball
-take hands directly to the ball, eliminate extra movements.
-dive through the ball.
Physical Objectives:
-fall in a controlled manner to limit the impact on your body.
- outside of the leg, then hip, then side.
Equipment:
cones, goal, balls

-4 cones to provide angle to dive in front of.

5 cone shooting (20 mins)
Exercise Description:
5 shots in rapid succession. Touch a different colored cone and quickly get ready for the shot.
Coaching Points:
-identify correct color and move their quickly while keeping an eye on the ball and shooter
- adjust your body to make sure you are diving forward
Technical Objectives:
- attempt to catch every ball struck at you.
- every shot held to be distributed to the opposite side 2/3 or 7/11.
-dive only if you must
-eliminate soft rebounds
Tactical Objectives:
-get to the best position possible at the moment of the shot.
Physical Objectives:
-quick movement
-body control
-push off to extend when necessary

5 balls, 5 cones, 2 mini goals

-change colors to numbers, shapes, to force the GK to remember which cone correlates.
