MANAGE the Clarets off the GK - Dispersal - CBs split to edges of box - Push 2,3,7 on. 4&8 on different lines as well.
BIG PICTURE - When their GK has the ball - Drop / Compactness - 9&10 ( Try to make the distances managable )
9&10 - When their GK plays into one of their CB - Closest Striker puts pressure on the ball from the side cutting the pass accross the box & back to the GK - Making their play more predictable. 2nd Striker - Could you try to screen a pass into the Central CB but allowing yourself space to move elsewhere.
Midfield Unit - When the 9&10 press thats your trigger to push up as well. Closest winger closely mark their wing back ( inside shoulder, touch tight ready to intercept the ball should it be played to him ). 4&8 - Man mark their 4&8 ( inside shoulder, touch tight ready to intercept the ball should it be played to them ).

BIG PICTURE - When their WB has the ball - Compactness - dictate the play outwide
7 - When the WB is played into - Closest player (WB) puts pressure on the ball from the side, forcing the play outside. Think about how to block passing lines too.
Midfield 3 - When the WB press thats your trigger to Slide across 8 pick up there 6 when it comes across, 6 dont get dragged in too far, be aware of the movement of their 4. Look to lock into the wide quarter and force errors, try to prevent them from going out of the area. 8/6 be aware of what shoulder you are marking players on to prevent the roll and they get away with quick movement.

Closest press to cover, Defenders recover to regain positon and attack (through press) at the earliest opportunity
MANAGE the Clarets positioning in the midfield area, make sure they arent being left out of possession. Make sure the 4 isnt sitting in front of the goal guarding it.
BIG PICTURE - When their GK has the ball - Try to recognise when the goalkeeper is going to play short and long (Ask them what are the triggers)
9&10 - When their GK plays longer into the Midfield - Sit in centrally, one drop a little deeper to offer support
Midfield Unit - When this happens, the Midfielder closest will need to react. (4) Press to show wide and delay the play whilst the 6/8 regain down to help the aggressive press. Look to recognise the trigger of the long ball, to get into a better starting possion.
The 7 will tuck in to the inside of their WB, ensuring that the passing line is blocked but to help create a compact area

MANAGE - Make sure the 4 isnt sitting in front of the goal guarding it.
BIG PICTURE - When the ball is played into central areas, get compact and drop. Show the play wide, communitcate and press on the right shoulder.
6&8 - When the ball is played into the 4, Closest press. Communitcate with midfield as to which way is to show, get the angle and distance of approach to the press.
Midfield Unit - When this happens, the Midfielder closest will need to react. (6/8) Press to show wide 4 drop in to screen/pick up players. Think about where the players are trying to get to the goals out through the middle .
