Organization:
40x30 yard area
Divide area into 4 x 10 yard channels
Each player has a ball
Instructions:
- Players work in groups of 3
- One player at a time dribbles through the channel
- Set off the next player upon reaching the end
- Introduce Messi & Ronaldo dribbles techniques
Coaching Points:
- Head up between touches
- Travel as quickly as you can, keeping the ball under control
- Messi touches every step using pinky toe, keeping the ball close
- Ronaldo touches out in front of body, taking bigger strides between touches
- When is it appropriate to Ronaldo & Messi dribble?

Organization:
40x30 yard area divided into 4 channels
2 players in each channel
1 ball per team
Instructions:
- Player with the ball Messi dribbles to half way
- Once at half way, accelerate past defender with Ronaldo dribble
- Defending player shadows their movement backwards - do not attempt to steal the ball
Coaching Points:
- Messi dribble - keep ball close, small touches
- Ronaldo dribble - ball out in front, bigger touches
- Move ball with outside surface
- Accelerate to end line
Progressions:
- Go past defender with a move (fake, scissor...)

Organization:
30x20 yard area
Minimum 2 players
2 cones placed 5 yards apart
1 ball with spares nearby
Instructions:
A
- Players pass the ball between them using only 1 touch
- Player 1 moves to touch either cone
- Player 2 immediately pushes the ball forward into space past Player 1 (Ronaldo Dribble)
- Player scores if they can get the ball into the shaded end zone before defender can recover
- Players switch roles after each attempt
B
- As scenario A but Player 2 now tries to score in the goal after passing defender (Use GK, if available)
Coaching Points:
- Quality of pass
- Head up to observe defenders position
- Bigger touch out of feet into open side of cones
- Get into end zone in as few touches as possible
Progressions:
- Shoot across the GK (Green Line)

Organization:
30x20 yard area
2 teams of 3 (Plus GK, if available)
Instructions:
- Regular scrimmage game
- If ball goes out of play, defending team must 'check' the ball into attacking (as shown)
- Gives attacking player opportunity to beat defender with 1st touch
Coaching Points:
- Use condition to gain 3v2 advantage (A)
- Movement of team mates to create space to drive into (B)
- Third man run to support play (C)
Progressions:
- Pair up players from opposite teams. They can only steal from each other
- Encourages players to accelerate once past 'their' defender

Organization:
40x30 yard area
12 players
Instructions:
- Create groups of 3
- Move around area independently
- Coach shouts a letter of the alphabet, groups must make the shape on the ground usig their bodies
- Point awarded for the 1st team / best team with correct letter
Coaching Points:
- Movements - running, jumping, hopping, skipping
- Team work - create the shape of the letter that is called
Progressions:
- Randomly place 4 different colors of pinnies, anywhere on ground (4 sets of 3 pinnies)
- Coach calls out a letter, players must grab a pinnie 1st then find team mates, then make letter as before
- Add a ball
- U6 - Players can carry the ball with them
- U8 and up - Players can move the ball using only their feet
