Phase 1: Direct Shoot at keeper

Phase 1: No 9 Steps in with a fake move and take a shoot.

Coaching Points: 

  • Develop Speed of play , Supporting Angles .
  • Shoot: planting foot to the side of the ball or slightly passed the ball. Toe pointing to the target , arms raised to maintain balance. Strike with the top of the boot slightly inside the laces to pointing downwards follow through.

Phase 2: No 9 performs and overlapping run.

Number 10  plays diagional ball  to number 8 who takes a shoot.

Coaching Points: Bottom Left , Bottom Right , Top Right , Top Left

Phase 3 : Cross

Phase 3 : No 9 completes the overlap receives a pass from a coach or player and send in a cross.

Number 8 goes to the back post and number 10 goes to a central position. Either 8 or 10 finishes.

Coaching Points: Switch to opposite side of the field, add 2 defenders.

6v5 + GK Game

Team in possession (white team) must complete 3 passes inside the central zone, before being able to pass the ball to the one of the wide players ( 7 & 11 ). 

Wide players have only 2 touches and can't come inside the central area. Goals scored with one
touch after a cross from wide areas count as 3 points, regular goal counts as 1 point.


After regaining the ball, defending team (black), try to score into one of the mini-goals, they have 5 seconds to complete their counter-attack. Offside rule applies for the attacking team.

Coaching Points: Encourage touch and move. Swap over teams.

7v7 Game

Wingers (11&7) must stay inside the wide areas until any of them receive the ball,
then winger on the opposite side can enter the box and try and score from a cross.

Only one defender at a time can enter the wide area. Regular goal counts as 1, goal scored with one touch after a cross from a wide area, counts as 3, goal scored with one touch after a cross from half-space, counts as 2. 

Defending team have 6 seconds to complete their counter-attack. Offside rule applies for the attacking team.
