Pattern 1

Movements

Ball played to full back, then the movement is as above:

Striker comes short leaving space for opposite wide player to exploit.

Nearest central midfielder makes run into channel and further central midfield comes across to look for pass into feet.

Both movements from striker and further central midfielder are more of and unselfish run as they are distractions for team mates to get into good poistions.

Pattern 2.

Ball at full backs feet.

Trigger is nearest wide player, running inside and distracting opposition centre back..

Striker pulls on to furthest centre back and allow space for ball to be clipped in from full back.

Central midfielder makes run beyond strker so he can play ball into his path to get a shot off.

Opposite wide player makes run beyond full back to either get in if the unitial ball is over hit or to follow in any rebounds form shot.

other central midfielder and holding player will advance to ring the box and deal with any second balls.

Back 4 and goalkeeper will advance up the pitch so they can stay in contact with the units in front of them.

Reflection on Session

Reflection

Players Used: Llangwnydd 1st team

DESCRIPTION. What happened...

Using 20 players and 2 goalkeepers.

Session was enjoyables and players were energetic and enthusiastic wanting to score goals.

The patterns that we worked on showed when we took it into a 30 minute game. Although other patterns occured which had both midfieldera and full backs running into box.

Feelings....

Before: I felt the session would good well as its an attacking session and the fact that the emphasis was on scoring would give players a boost.

During: Session was running smoothly. During the 30 minute game different patterns occured and this showed imagination and decision making from the players.

After: I felt the session could have gone better as the opposition did break up play before we could get into the final third.

EVALUATION.

Good.. Players movement and quality of passes was very good. Communication and angle of runs were OK, could have been better.

Bad... Opposition broke play up too many times before we got into final third.

Analysis... How I influenced session.

By giving ideas and freedom for players to make forward runs.

Sowing several patterns but then letting players use imagination and expressing themselves.

Conclusion..

Session was ok. I would take it into a half pitch practice next time taking several players out of the equation and focussing on the most impotant players first.

Action Plan.

Next time on this topic I will go from half pitch practice to 11v11.

Limitations.

The session didnt have limitations, we only had one pitch to work on and there were 4 players that had to be rotated.

As it was a shaddow practice there wasnt great urgency at the beginning of the session.
