Warm-up: Dribbling Skills (30 mins)

Organization:

Square grid; each player with a ball

Instructions:

Players dribble around in grid while trying to poke the ball of other players in grid. 1 point for each ball poked. Players keep track of points. When coach calls out a number, players all execute that move and continue dribbling and poking.

Coaching Points/Questions:

Players should dribble to other players rather than avoiding them in order to get points. Technical execution of moves

Once skills are performed well, progress to combinations of the individual moves.
