Matthews Dribble to beat defender
1. Player performs the matthews dribble while beating the defender. Player dribbles toward middle cone, and as they approach cone, make sure ball is positioned on right side of body. With the inside of the right foot, push ball across body, then without putting the right foot down, use the outside of the right foot to push ball to the right side of the cone. Player should accelerate to opposite cone. Turn and repeat going back. Work for 2 minutes with the right foot and 2 minutes with the left foot. That is one set. Compete 3 sets.

Scissors, Advanced Scissors
1. Player now beats the "defender". Player dribbles toward middle cone, performs scissor with the right foot, accelerates with the outside of the left foot past the cone and to the opposite side. Turn and repeat. Work for 2 minutes, then switch legs and complete for another 2 minutes. That is one set. Complete 3 sets.
2. Progression to advanced scissor. Now stationary again, player begins now with a touch with the inside of the right foot, dragging the ball across their body, the same way as the matthews dribble. Now, instead of taking the ball with the outside of the right foot as in the matthews, player performs a scissor around the ball and accelerates with the outside of the left. Accelerate to the end cone, turn and repeat. Challenge yourself to do this one moving as well. 2 minutes right foot, 2 minutes left foot to complete 1 set. Complete 3 sets.

Advanced Foot Around To Beat Defender
1. Stationary, player begins by performing shuffles. The foot around move begins with the foot going around the outside of the ball first, completing a full circle back to the outside of the ball, and rolling ball back with the sole of the foot across body. Pattern will be inside right, inside left, foot around right, inside left, inside right, foot around left. Begin slow, speed up as you get the rythym.
2. Now, progress to dribbling toward the right side of the cone, with the inside of the right foot, chops ball across body, and perform quick foot around with the left foot, pulling the ball back to the right side with the sole of the foot. Player accelerates with the inside of the right foot past the cone to end cone, turns and repeats. 2 minutes and then switch. That is one set. Complete 3 sets.

Equipment needed:
2 Tennis balls
3 cones each 10 yards apart
1. Player jogs from start to middle cone, then accelerates to end cone, jogs back x 3
2. Player skips to middle cone, then accelerates to end cone, jogs back x 3
3. Player shuffles right to middle cone, turns, accelerates to end cone, jogs back x 3
4. Player shuffles left to middle cone, turns, accelerates to end cone, jogs back x 3
5. Player back pedals to middle cone, turns, accelerates to end cone, jogs back x 3
Tennis balls now added and repeat movements above but Partner now bounces one of the tennis balls when player reaches middle cone, player must accelerate to catch before it bounces a second time. For an extra challenge, when player catches the first ball, partner now bounces the second ball.
