Organization: Use area of pitch between top of the 18 and the half line & the width of the field. 3 mini goals at half, with the central goal dropping to just inside the center circle. Two larger goals on either side of the 18. Supply of balls in between the two larger goals.
Activity: Expanded SSG - 10v8 (including GK) favouring Red. Red look to build out and score on the mini goals (1 pt for the wide goals, 3 pts for the central goal). Blue look to press, win the ball and score on the large goals.
Coaching Points:
Closest player presses the ball - quick early pressure. When, where, how, who? Cues to press?
Close down quickly, slow down and arrive at a good approach distance.
Body position - side on / deflect away from goal.
Concentration/compactness: cut off central channels.
Distance / angle of support for the 1st/2nd defenders. Defenders should be in a position to see all attackers.
Communication/decision making.

Organization: Half field at North Park. One large goal with a supply of balls behind it. Two small 4-yard gates set up on either side of the center circle, near half (can be mannequins). Supply of balls outside the large goal. Set up a 5-yard endzone at half about the width of the 18.
Activity: Blue play 1-4-2 vs. front four of Red (9,7,11,10). Play starts with the GK looking to play out the back and pass to one of their CBs. Blue attempt to maintain possession and score by playing into one of their stationary mids in the gates. The opposition (red) look to win the ball and attack the main goal. They have 8 seconds to counter and score.
Progressions:
Add the 6 for Blue.
Add the 9 for Blue who stays in the end zone and can receive passes for points.
Add the 6 and 8 for Red.
