We are the creator of the game when the ball is on our feet
we must read when to go fast and when to slow down - we dictate our tempo.
about five solid exits. Notice how the middle is avoided - this is the place where a misplaced pass will hurt us. In this example I am focusing on the following:
A. Short pass to 4, then shift wide to open space
B. Skip 4 to 2. However this should be played when opposition is deeper in their LOC. This is a tight ball to control if not done correctly.
C. Short pass to 8 (if we are on the other side of the field it is to the 6) this pass must be short and early. No bumpy passes, must be easy to control. Our 6/8 must have enough time to turn. The window to this pass is very short
D. long pass to 7/11. Notice the grey zones. these are the zones we want to hit. Between the Centerbacks and the fullbacks. This will cause the opposition to make a decision of which player will step. Notice how it is a little negative. We want our players to receive with their body in between the ball and the opposition.
E. Once again the long balls to the 9/10 /11/7, must hit a zone where we have our bodies between the ball and the opposition. Movement is key here.
E2. If 7/11 drag their defenders towards our half of the field, we can long ball over into the space and take the run into space
E3. If 7/1 starts really high, we can long ball it forward, but not over the players but a little shorter so that we receive the ball with our player between the ball and the opposition's defender.
