Objectives
1. Be able to get in line with the ball while it is in the air.
2. Develop first touch on the ball with different parts of the body.
3. Be able to show control when receiving the ball by bringing it down or passing (volley or head).

Set Up
Open area.
Rules and Conditions
Player moves into level 1 box . Ball is passed (throw or kick) to the receiving player who is looking to receive the pass and do 2 juggles without the ball touching the ground. and then catch. If complete, they move onto the next box. Once completed in Level 4 box the team gets a point.The first touch can be done with any part of the body but the juggles should be done with feet only.
Progression
Receive the ball and pass back to advance a level.
Coaching Points
Get in line with ball's line of travel
Get under ball to get the ball to come up into the air.
Use wide part of body for good contact
Relax, don't oanic when ball is in the air.

Coach to play aerial ball into attacker. As soon as the ball is played the defenders can react. Attacker to bring the ball down and play 2v2 to score.

First touch away from opponent.
Get the ball down to the ground quickly.

Players go through PEP routine including Motor Movement, Dynamic Stretching, Strength, plyometric and sprint (with changes of direction) phases. Focus on techniques and landing mechanics
