Coaching points
Play forward as priority
When not on, recirculate. Play to one side then switch through the keeper to get out the other.
Roles of 1st attacker - penetrate with pass, rwb/dribble (risk v reward) if not available use support and mobility to create overloads (2v1's) to break pressure
Width of #2 and #3 also balance when the ball is played to opposite side.
2nd attacker (support or mobility) is the 1st attacker under pressure? Yes - support (angle/distance/timing/awareness of where to take 1st touch, break pressure?, bounce pass?, shield/hold ball?, recirculate?, penetrate? Decision making is key. Do they understand the priority?
Encourage open body position. correct pass - around/through/front or back foot
Encourage good habits - checking shoulder - multiple movements one for defender one for ball - communication - giving information after pass - visual/verbal cues/communication - shape of runs off the ball - confidence on it - react to pass etc.
