1. With ball in hands, rock on hips, fully extend one way, then the other. 10 reps each side, rest and repeat.
2. Using correct footwork, shuffle laterally then around cone (object), then slide quickly into ball. Back pedal and repeat otherside. 10 reps (5 each side).
3. Shuflle to cone, touch, attack ball as tho it's a 1v1 smother. Shuffle around other cone, turn at cone to face opposite way and then repeat from that side.
4. Reactions. Server (parent/sibling) says 'turn' and then serve ball (at keeper, to the side and then medium height aerial balls). Progression - turn, low ball to the left, save then ball to the right for recovery save. 5 reps each side.

9 cones or other objects (plant pots!)
Correct footwork on all exercises (laterals, shuffles etc all in start frame) resulting in a collapse dive at each following the footwork (on 1, 2 and 3). #4 pass the ball toward a board/wall/partner (2 metres apart) and secure returning ball with either a scoop, forward vault, collapse dive etc.
Repeat the other way x 2-3 reps.
Have fun making up your own exercises! With a partner you could bring in high contour balls (without and with pressure).

Server calls:
Middle - Fast Footwork thru cones receive ball high ball direct on.
Right and Left - movement around the right or left cone and catch high ball. After catch, return to server and move through cones to start position.
Repeat x 6 (2 of each mixed up), rest and then go again x 3 in all.
On the balls of your feet, use correct footwork, don't attack ball until is has been released, attack ball late and hard, shout 'keeper!, jump to catch the ball at highest point possible (no basket catches at the waist!), raise knee nearest pressure (usually facing outfield), catch ball with W shaped hands.

1. Goalkeeper moves to cone (Left / Right / Back / Forward). If no cones available, improvise!
2. Server volleys to Goalkeeper
* 10 x 'W' / 10 x Cup / 10 x Scoop / 6 x Foward Vaults (2 middle, 2 left, 2 right).
Coaching Points
1. Meet the ball early with open hands
2. Strong wrists and soft Elbows as shock absorbers
3. Head, body, hand and feet in line with catching and moving

Complete as a circuit in quickest time possible:
Goalkeeper moves quickly through cones/objects using side shuffle steps
Sprint to cone backwards as tho making recovery run.
Dive to each static ball getting up and making next save as quickly as possible. If you have a # of balls then use a ball for every cone.
Back pedal to start.
Complete 4 sets. If you aren't using balls for every cone then switch the balls to the other side to work on dives to your right and move cones over in place of balls. You can then backpedal after going arond the last cone and then shuffle back to start position.
Vary footwork thru first set of cones (weave, high knees etc)
Because this should be completed quickly DO NOT compromise the quality of your execution to each ball.

Warm-Up
A - various ballwork
- Juggles (both feet, left only, right only, 2 x left, 2 x right, foot/thigh/foot/thigh)
- Tick tocks (inside of both feet, back and forth)
- Toe Taps (stationary and 'round the world - toe taps with movement around the ball)
- Tick tocks and then turn opposite way using outside of foot
- Inside/Out, Left and Right
- Inside x 2, Outside x 2
- Inside/outside/inside/outside
- Sole Roll (roll ball with bottom of foot to opposite side and repeat the other way) - 10 mins.
B - 3 ball weave. Set frame. Grab middle ball and place over ball right. Grab that ball and move over ball to your left. Grab that ball and move over ball to right and so on until all balls are past cones/target objects (could be anything). Focus on quick foot using correct footwork (shuffles). Repeat x 3
C - Various footwork thru cones. Weave, high knees, one foot, invent! Always set frame at end and back pedal to start postion (no turning back!). If a partner is available you could receive balls of varying height on set. 10 mins.
D - 5 balls. If you don't have 5 balls you could slide into 5 cones/other targets. Slide into each ball, returning to start position after every ball. Progression - scoop then forward vault. 5 reps.
E - Shuffle around cones and slide into ball, back pedal and go opposite way. 10 reps.
F - Find a wall/partner. Serve ball against wall/to partner and have the ball returned at different angles/heights (I used to do this for hours as a young player working on receiving the ball with feet and hands) - 10 mins.
STRETCH AFTER EACH EXERCISE/DRILL.
