The main theme for the first ODP Session with NH 1997s is to determine their abilit to work without the ball. The early parts of the session will have players on the ball for the first 30minutes, bu tthe las 1 hour will have 1 ball with two teams. This is the first session with the boys and I like to conduct this session to see how they read the play.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY:
The play will be asked to read the play several passes ahead to predict where they should move & when. The main empahsis is to determine how the team "reads" the game to play for future sessions
PHYSCIALLY:
It is a moderately physcial session and should not tax them as the only effortful element is to make runs off the ball to support, and in a 40x40 the long run should be no greater than 20 yards
