Grid: 15 wide by 20 long
Player A begins by playing a ball square to Player B who DRIBBLES INSIDE and engages Player C, the defender. Player A overlaps Player B and player B decides whether to beat Payer C on the dribble or plays the overlap. Players A and B are trying to get across the endline, if Player C wins the ball they are trying to get over the opposite endline.
Player C cannot come and defend until after Player B's 1st touch.
Encourage Player A to communicate the overlap to player B by calling "hold" or something similar.
Player B's decision is based on what the defender takes away.
Rotation: Player A to line with E, B to line with D, C to line with F.
After A, B, and C; E, D and F will go. - Rotate defenders.
PROGRESSION:
Players decide which combination to use (either dribble at the defender or play square and overlap) and defender F can become a recovering defender after running around the cone behind his/her line.

Grid 25 wide by 30 long
Player D plays a ball across to Line A, B, or C and comes out to defend with player E creating a 3v2 to mini goals.
After a goal is scored or the ball goes out of play J plays a ball out and defends, with Player I, against F, G, and H.
Reinforce the combinations and decisions in the previous exercises.
Rotate defenders

Set up:
Blue have 3 players with a ball who attack two yellow defenders to big goals.
Behind the goal Blue have 2 defenders ready to come out, behind them is 1 player with a ball, behind him/her there are 2 players ready to come out and so on.
Behind Yellow's goal there is 1 player with a ball, 2 players behind him/her, 1 player with a ball behind them and so on.
Game:
Anytime a ball is scored(regardless of which team scores) or the ball goes out of play(regardless of who the ball goes off of) the team with 3 players go off the field, are replaced by the 2 waiting players on their team. Simultaneously, the 2 defenders who were on the field stay on, receive a pass from the 1 waiting player on their team who then joins the 2 creating a 3v2.
Pictured: B shoots and scores; A, B, and C exit the fiels and replaced by G, H; D and E remain on the field, F passes the ball on and enters joining D and E who attack G and H. (F can dribble or pass the ball on depending on the situation and what you are trying to accomplish)

2 v 1 across endlines (10 mins)
Grid: 15 wide x 20 long
Player A dribbles a ball into the grid with Player B as a 2nd attacker and ENGAGES the defender
(Player C) who closes down player A.
Player A has the option of beating player C on the dribble, passing player B in with a through pass, or playing a Give and Go with player B. Player A and B are trying to get across the endline, if C wins the ball they attempt to dribble across the opposite line.
The next sequence would involve player D and E attacking player F.
Rotation: A goes to the line with E, B goes to the line with D, C goes to the line with F. Rotate Defenders
Encourage the player on the ball to make their decision to beat the defender based on what the defender
takes away. If the defender takes the passing or give and go option away, beat them on the dribble and vice versa.
Encourage 2nd attacker to make runs based on the defenders pressure- tight pressure show for give and go, light pressure look for through ball - angle of support for the give and go should be emphasized.
