Interesting tactical approach by Guardiola against Crystal Palace's well drilled 3-4-2-1.
Adopting a 5-4-1 in the defensive phase allowed for a degree of man-to-man when defending the counterattack, but moreover the structure in build up was clear and intentioned. Air-Nouri and Savinho held positions high and wide with Marmoush and Semenyo pinning centrally holding the back 5 in place.
