Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): Corner Kick - Attacking 1 - 8v8

Player 1: Delivers an aerial ball towards the center of the goal box. When the player is about to make his run up to the ball, should raise his hand as a signal to team mates.

Player 2: Posts up against the goalkeeper to distract them and win any second ball or rebound.

Player 3: Starts at the front post. When corner taker raises hand, starts a back post run between players 4 and 5 coming the other direction. Player 3 should be ready for any back post ball or flick on.

Player 4 & 5: Start at the back post. When corner taker raises hand, makes an explosive run to the front post. Player 3 coming the other direction will hopefully 'screen' any defenders marking player 4 & 5 to leave them open for a header or shot on goal.

Player 6: Occupies the edge of the box to take advantage of any clearances down the center and prevent possible counter attacks.

Player 7: Lone defender. Stays back to provide cover and should be ready to recover any long clearance.

More defensive: Player 5 drops back to support player 7 for additional cover.

More attacking: Player 7 enters the box. In the final minutes of a game, if we have to score, goalkeeper may also enter the box.
