When sweeping your should not be any higher than the ankle
It is a sweep not a kick or you'll injure yourself and your partner
Progressions / Adaptations -
Try to move around the mat and catch your partner

If you do not put the weight on partner's chest they will escape the hold down.
Try to keep a grip on their judo suit so they do not roll away or escape the hold down
Progressions / Adaptations
Partner will have 20 seconds to try get out of the hold-down.
