Warm Up (15 mins)

Using the set up above, with players at every cone. In - Out - Through

i) Set up simulates a combination between #10, #9 & #8, to release #7 to serve the ball.

ii) Pass, follow your pass to the next cone.

iii) Play as much 1-touch as possible for timing.

Coaching Points

1) Passing: Do passes lead player where he needs to go? Are they weighted correctly? On the ground? Are they 1-touch? Does the long pass stay low and accurate?

2) Movement: Do players prepare to receive the pass? Does #9 get defensive pressure in the back from next player in line? Does #8 open up to create angle to play through ball? Does #7 check out / check in to receive through ball? Are they onside?

3) Realism: Does the combination look real? Does the #7 attack the open space at speed? Is the cross realistic?

3) Quality of Crosses: Do crosses avoid the GK? Are they attack-able? Are they at pace?
