Attacking corner (#'s are not positional)
Set up:
- player 1 sets up next to player 10 at the corner flag to attract defenders out
- player 2 will check to the ball to draw a defender or combine with player 1 and 10 to deliver the ball
- player 3 disrupts the goalies vision and dominates the near post
- player 4 and 6 will crash the box around the 6 and PK
- player 6 will hold the edge for rebounds, clearances, or a far post ball
- player 7 will hold the top of the box for rebounds, clearances, and transitions
Play:
- ball played to player 2 as they check to the ball who pulls defender and opens the near post, creating 3v2
- player 1, 2, 10 combine to cross the ball or attack from the corner to draw more defenders
- 2 can play back to 10 for the cross or combine together to create an angle cross or shot towards goal
Coaching Points:
- creativity! nothing will go as planned so try this with multiple outcomes
- player 2 needs to be a dominate and calm under pressure with the ball
- player 1 left footed
- movement in the box

Play:
- player 3 checks to the ball

Defending free kick in scoring position (#'s not positions)
Set up:
- GK decides on how many players to a wall - 1 w/ corner angle, 2 w/ angle showing, 3-4 w/ angle on top of 18
- near and far post markers (zonal)
- 5 - mark the 6/PK (zonal)
- 6-8 man mark
- 9 support clearance and second ball (zonal)
- 10 stay at half for transition and supporting passes for clearance
Progression:
- place ball in different areas and have the defense set up with a 20 second timer
- GK calls out how many to a wall
- add goals at half for the defense to try and score on post clearance
Coaching Points:
- never turn back to ball
- certain players will always be in the wall
- one player in charge of making sure they get 10 yards and to slow down pace to set up
- supporting angles on clearance
- wall is trying to block kick
- one person from wall releases with a short pass
- GK be loud and communicate
