SET UP: Groups of 4, 4 cones spaced out 10 yards apart.
INSTRUCTIONS: Player at the top will deliver a pass to the player at the bottom. The player at the bottom will receive and attempt to dribble to a cone. The defending player will close down the space to deny them space or opportunity to advance to the cone with the ball. After each pass the players will rotate to the next cone, and the process will be repeated, always starting back at the top.
COACHING POINTS: Teach players to close down space, and get in a good defensive position between the goal they are defending and the ball. (fast, slow, angle, low)
PROGRESSION: Defending players can win the ball.
