Zonal Movement is always aggressive and attacking. Defenders attack ahead of them, never moving backwards and never backtracking to get to the ball.
Movement should always be positive, with the defenders aiming to run and attack the ball, nullifying a running attackers momentum and beating a standing jump from an attacker.

Progression from 1v1;
One player starts outside the area and passes it into the attacker. The passer and remaining player both act now as defenders and must close the play down, with one pressuring, the other supporting. The attacker must score in the small goal. Players will swap over with each player having a chance to attack.

Corners - Zonal
When playing defending a corner, each player needs to know the role and the area they cover.
Due to insecurities about the current system, we are going to amend a typical zonal system by applying defenders to the posts for extra security in games. These will tend to be smaller players who are there to block the ball rather than win headers.
In front of them and the keeper, will be the clubs three main headers of the ball, with an extra player looking to stop the low ball, or short ball coming into play. The player at the front will again, be a smaller player, less competitive in the air, who can simply get themselves in the way and be a 'blocker'.
Beyond them, will be two more defensive players, whomever the next two best headers are that will attack a ball aimed at the penalty spot or further out from there. The player at the back, will also be prepared to turn and close down an overhit ball that ends up being hit heavy.
Beyond them, a third defensive player - generally with an attacking ability and/or pace, who can be an outlet for if we win the ball, but will also act as another header of the ball if its dropped toward the 18 yard line and/or, will close the play down if the 1st or 2nd ball falls to players outside of the box. It is his job to close that down and stop the quick shot, allowing our team to reshape and press as a unit.
Finally, beyond him is the striker who will look to stay mobile, forcing the defenders to follow him, splitting them or taking them away from the centre of the pitch.
