Zone 1, with the ball (Goalkick included):
We are making the field bigger. Stretching all our lines in all directions, using all half of the field.
1- Short options with support (Center backs, Holding mid)
2- Alternate options with attention needed to second ball (Outside backs, center mids)
3- Long options with attention to second and third ball (Forwards)
This organization is taking place anytime the ball is in Zone 1, in the goal keeper possession or any of our back 4.
In all scenario, the BC (Ball carrier) is getting support from multiple directions (Front, side & back).
Don't hesitate to multiply the shorts passes in order to create the space you need to move into Zone 2 and Zone 3. Be patient. Possess until you have an opening or until the pressure is too high and then skip Zone 2 and longer the game. (If pressure is too high, it means we are outnumbered, in that case, we are outnumbering our opponent in either Zone 2 or Zone 3.

Zone 2, with the ball (3 - 4 - 3):
When entering Zone 2 in possession of the ball. We must be organized as seen above. Our system is then 3 - 4 - 3
There is couple different ways to be in this system. Either at it is presented, our holding mid squeezes between our center backs allowing our outside back to give us the stratch we need on each side or our mids gives us that space on each side in which case only one outside back is high while the other one stays connected to our center backs to give us a line of 3.
our 3 forwards must play as high as the back line of our opponent is (black jersey here). They would then check in, closer to the ball carrier, opening space for our wings player (Blue jersey here) or mids to run behind the back 4. (Yellow arrows)

Zone 3, with the ball (2 - 3- 5):
Outside back is now in the last 30. Immediate support from strong side wing. Striker and weak side wing come in between defenders. Weak side outside back closes third post space.
Midfielders aligned 20-25 yeards from the BC, holding mid and center backs shift slightly to the strong side ready to avoid any counter attack. At this point we can get into the box with a combo, by dribbling, crossing. We must have an opportunity to score from there. (I mean a shot!)

Zone 3, we lost the ball (3 - 3 - 3 - 1):
We are 10 v 11, consider the BC who lost the ball out for 10 second. Tigh it up! Make the field small and connected with each other between the ball and your goal.
Closest to the ball apply immediate pressure with immediate cover. Always double the pressure on the BC with tight cover. While applying pressure. Weak side outside back must recover (Don't worry about the ball, connect with your center backs. Holding mid connected to center backs until then. Once outside back is connected, holdind mid connects with the midfielders. (Yellow arrows)

Zone 2, we lost the ball (3-3-1-3):
This is when we will be the most vulnerable!
Closest player to the BC apply pressure. Don't dive, be patient, give us the time to regroup. Every players must sprint to make the field small and limit space between BC and our goal.
