Pirate Game
Position all players in a large grid. All players have a ball except for one (the pirate). The pirate chases the players with balls inside the grid and attempts to hijack a ball for his/her use, making the player who's lost position the new pirate. Add more than one pirate if numbers are big.

Setup
Group is spread out into a big circle (likely use 2 circles depnding on #s)
4 or 5 balls around the circle with the players.
Instructions
2 players are in the middle, 1 is the attacker and the other is the defender
Work for set time/score against each other and then 2 new players go in
Attacker is to go to a ball, ask for it and try to turn the defender
Not permitted to pass the ball to a player next to the player whom they received the ball from
Once everyone has had a turn the players go in again alternating role (attacker becomes defender, etc.)
Scoring (optional)
Each time they can pass to any other player they receive a point, each time the defender wins the ball they receive a point.

Check offs to create space
Shoulder checks when receiving the ball
Use body to protect the ball and feel if you can turn/roll the defender
Positive first touch (PFT)
Communication to get the ball and when passing to a teamate

Divide players into groups of 3v3 or 4v4 depending on numbers. Rotate teams so they get a chance to play against other opposition.
Players should be encouraged to be creative but mindful of their options (i.e. pass, dribble, etc.). Those players without the ball should be encouraged to move into space to provide options for their team.
