Organization:
Organization: Space is 50x44. Can play with 5 players each team plus GKs(6v6) .
Instructions: Ball is first played in by coach white attacks, Red defends. White will always start with the ball, we will change attacked and defending team after 7min.Defending team must think about contracting(making the pitch smaller). Not allowing the attacking to to penatrate through the middle.Attacking team must think about expanding while in possesion.
Coaching Points: There is a demand for players to think and react to situations as they happen fast, but to also step out and close down space. Defending team may have to Drop off at first , coach may establish a line of engagement. This will allow the defending team to get a feel for the attacking team, half way through defendinfg team may have to cahnge and press high. The attacking team is so close to goal that if the defenders give them any space, there is room to shoot, which means the defenders are likely to have to step up. Many 1v1 duels. Opportunity for attacking players to create and score, demand for all players to defend and support to prevent shots and goals. High physical intensity and high competitiveness must be balanced to eliminate injuries. Can institute a no slide tackles rule, all players must stay on feet. This also encourages proper defending and moving feet.
