Organization:
Half field
Attacking or defending half depending on which wide players focused on
4 mankins or corner flags or cones spaced 8 to 10 yards apart
2 small goals
2 to 3 players minmum in each line
Instructions:
Option 1 ( White players)
A begins by dribbling ball to mannequins in th middle then passes to B
B takes a touch then passes to C running onto the ball
C's run is triggered when B touhes the ball
C finishes the ball into small goal
Roatate: A to B to C, rotate sides: left and right
Option 2 (Blue Players)
Same as Option 1 except C now will run inside the cone/manikin and dribble to the back of the line
Coaching Points:
Adjust where to recieve based on weight of pass, step to ball/drop off
Make eye contact with player are passing to prior to receiving
Create angle by bring ing ball across body in driection of next pass (B)
Penetrating Pass into space , force wide player to run onto it (B/C)
Check to ball the make run to drag defender (C)
Overhit rather than underhit pass
Timing of the run
Head up
Progressions:
Give wide players choice of running inside or outside the manikin

Organization:
Same set-up as prior Main Theme activity except now a full back on each side has been incorporated
Instructions:
Option 1 ( White players)
A begins by dribbling ball to mannequins in th middle then passes to B
B takes a touch then passes to C or D running onto the ball, their choice
D's run is triggered when B touhes the ball
C's overlap is triggered by the run of D
C finishes the ball into small goal
D penetrates on dribble
Roatate: A to B to C to D, rotate sides: left and right
Option 2 (Blue Players)
Same as Option 1 except now the Fullback (G) is making an underllaping run insted of overlapping
Fullbacks passed to back of line
Midfielder (H) finishes in small goal
Coaching Points:
Weight and direction of pass
Fullback must run at 100%
Ask for the ball
Recovery run of fullback
Timing of the run
Full back makes run opposite to wide player
Progressions:
Wide player has choice of to run inside or outside

Organization:
Play 5v5 or 6v6 in a 50x30 space with 5 yard wide channels surrounding the central area
4 neutral players are allowed to start in channels
Instructions:
Teams play possesion, score points by passing to targets on end lines
Once passed to target must transtion to defend as target passes in to opposing team going in opposite direction
Neutral players are allowed to leave their channels
Rotate teams
Coaching Points:
Look for switch of play to trigger underlap/overlap runs
Indentification of trigger to run by full backs receiving ball

Incorporate goals instead of targets
Remove conditions and play free

Organization:
Half of the players inside circle, half outside
Circle 25 yards in diameter
Instructions:
Player in the middle receives ball from player on outside, passes back then moves to a different area on the inside to receive the ball
Must take 2 touches
Must bring the ball across the body before playing back
Rotate every 30-45 seconds
Always rotate with partner you started across from
Integrate SAQ
Coaching Points:
Check the shoulder before receving the ball
Check the shoulder as the ball travels
Must change the angle the ball, no straight passes
Receive with inside or outside but take ball away from defender
Progressions:
After recieving, dribble then pass to a different outside player
Partner up in the middle, one player is now a passive defender
