Ball Mastery Warmup (10 mins)

Organization: Each team has a played number 1-6 and has a ball. When you number is called the played from each team much take a touch out of the box then shoot on goal. Point scored for your team if it goes in without touching the ground.

Coaches Role: Increase intensity

Technical: Big touch out of feet, long stride, standing foot next to the ball, lock ankle, keep leg straight to avoid curve, land on shooting foot. Shoulders over the ball, use arm to swing weight through the ball

Tactical: Early shot.

Social: Encourage team mates

Psychological: Focus on timing

Physical: Quick movements to catch keep off guard

Screen 2 (10 mins)

Organization: Add a GK. Players pass and move with the corresponding number from the opposite box. When number is called whoever has the ball goes to goal the other defends. 1 point for scoring past keeper.

Coaches Role: Increase intensity

Stage 2 (20 mins)

Organization: 3vs1 + 3vs1. Players must stay in their own half, only the three in their own half can shoot. If presser wins the ball back they lay it back to their own half.

Coaches Role: Ball supply. Increase intensity. highlight shooting opportunities

Technical: Type of shot (driven) and first touch to set up shooting opportunity

Tactical: When to shoot first time, when to set up shot

Social: Communication off the ball, verbal and nonverbal to instruct the passer or receiver

Psychological: Decision making under pressure, composure, bravery and take risks

Physical: Body shape to receive the ball with the possibility of shooting
