Warm-Up (20 mins)

Technical Warm-Up. 

Players = Ball each. 

Weak foot programme + receiving skills from the air – variation.

Focus on the detail of the touch and execution.


Graeme & Emil - focus on individuals. Individual interventions only (if needed to show demo, etc.). When receiving from the air, we can apply passive pressure (scan before receive, receive into the free space.). It will be connected to the next part of the session.

Psychological/Mental – nice and calm approach, be patient.


20-25 minutes.

Two teams - competition. 

Graeme - OOP (communication to the players during practice)

Emil - IP (communication to the players during practice)

IP:

Detach from opposition. 

Movement to receive. 

Two players core movements. 

OOP:

Pressure on the ball / press & cover. 

Distances & Communication. 

Coaching approach - competition/reminder about the score/demanding/encouraging

  • 2 x 4 minutes on the left (explore)
  • Break - Graeme - pink / Emil - blue (short questions)
  • 2 x 4 minutes on the right (interventions during practice + individual)
  • Break - Teams Isolated (player led)

    Final game (30 mins)

    Final game - 3 goals.

    Shuffle, slide, close gaps. Fill a maximum of two zones.

    4 x 5 minutes.

    First two games (2x5 minutes) - Re-start always from a throw in. / related to previous practices. Team will have 3 seconds to re-start. 

    Central zone - 2 points/ side zones - 1 point.

    Last two games (2x5 minutes) - Normal game. No interventions. No coaching. Competition only.
