Organisation: Players will be set in a 7 v 7 including a goal keeper for both teams.
Explanation: For the small sided game the attacking principles will remain the same as the specific practice where players will looking to repliecate what they learnt from the previous practice which will include combination plays within the final thrids by creating space and width to either play from wide, over the top or break the line.
Targets/Conditions:
For the practice, the defensive team (blue team) will have ten seconds to score while the red team will have a maximum of three touches on the ball. (To ensure players are playing with a high tempo when playing the final third which will created by quick passes/ movement and decision making).
Key Coaching Points:
In Possession-
Create width and space in order to break lines or play the ball wide
Decision making when transitioning into the final third to create combination play which will include compusure when making these passes to enure passes are made succeesfuly and quickly to create goal scoring opportunities.
Out of Possession-
Keep narrow and compact to minamize space and prevent attacking team from breaking lines.
Force team wide and stop the cross by delaying, denying and dictating the play.

Aims of the session: Welsh Way Principle of play when playing in the final third which include playing quick passes and creating width and space to pass the ball through from playing out wide, breaking the line or crearting and exploiting over loads from either zone 14 or wide areas.

Organisation: Players will be set into a 6 v 6 with one common player who will start as a server in the back. (The common player will always start with the ball).
Explanation:
For the practice the coach will work with red team to focus on the attacking principles when playing in the final third while the blue team will be managed by the assistant which they will work on the defensive principles. The aim of the session is for the red team to play into the final third and looked to combine and to create goal scoring opportunities either from playing the ball on the outside, over the top or break the line.
