Organisation

  • Half a pitch  - Narrow
  • 2 x teams of 6 (Can be Adapted) depending on numbers
  • Bibs, Flat marks, Goals
  • 4 x 7 mins - 1min rest

    • Task -  Beat the Press - SSG - Tactical decision
    • 1st pass cant be played into the Middle third, Teams must look to work out if to play into, through or around pressure.
    • Overloads used to provide opportunity for trial and error.
    • Let player ownership take control of team talks - overseen by coaches
    • Reset after each Goal - If miss, Coaches Play Either side for Transition
    • Neutral can play in any Zone - Creates problems

    Progressions:

    • Ball can only be played into middle third on restart. 
    • Score Assist zones - More Reward
    • Let Teams Match up or decide own formation.

    Coaching Points: Blue Team - Lead Coach

    • Finding the +1 - GK?, 4 or 8 dropping in etc - What does that force opposition to do?
    • Combinations to beat press. 

    Coaching Points - Red Team - No Coach 

    • Player Ownership
