Through Ball15 mins

- Four stations with players split equally over them.

- To begin with, players will stay on their station to repeat the play one after each other, getting comfortable with the movement & technique.

1. Movement from the player on nearest post to come through the line of poles representing players in a defensive line, where is a one-two combination is played.

2. The player then plays a through ball into the path of a player that moves from the furthest pole, curving their run through the defensive line to receive the ball on the move.

3. A pass is played into the mini goal.

- When the players are comfortable with the practice, add rotational changes, once you've done your job, move to the station on the right.

Progression

- Change the position of the starting poles.

- Add a goal & GK

Continuous Crossing & Finishing15 mins

- A team of rotating defenders, starting on the halfway mark, swapping each time. A team of attacking players rotating also.

- The ball gets played for a one-two combination between two attacking players around the halfway (1).

- A through ball is played into the path of the winger to receive on the move, this is the trigger for defenders to recover & attackers to move (2).

- The winger runs with the ball and creates an opportunity to cross for the attackers to attack the ball (3).

- After the attack, the defensive team of two can look to counter-attack, using the GK & their other two defenders waiting, whilst the initial attackers recover.

- Once both attacks have come to a stop, the play begins from number 1 again.

Progression

- Change of wing.

- Alternate starting positions.
